Hoqqa

They say feeling gives birth to magic.
The magician is light. As the game of light awakens, a shadow surely appears.
That shadow echoes the remaining regret.
Until the price of grief is paid.

Hoqqa is a story-based platformer, following a journey of joy, regret and friendship. You take the role of Hoqqa, a naive and hasty magician, tasked with bringing joy. When the game of light fails, the shadow teaches mercilessly.

Please be aware:

• Hoqqa is a prototype, rest of the game is planned but may not be finished.
• No warranty is given on the game's uninterrupted operation or freedom from errors.

Hoqqa is a demo video game produced for academic research purposes within the scope of an MFA thesis titled "Emotion Transmission in the Context of Digital Game Design and a 2D Platformer Game Implementation", conducted at Hacettepe University, Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Graphics.

AI was used for the music and to assist with some of the complex coding in this game. The rest is handcrafted.
